COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The study of law is designed to expose students to our American judicial system. This course of study will allow the student to discover the wide latitude of constitutional interpretation. A thorough examination of the criminal justice system will be pursued through case studies in civil, criminal, constitutional, and administrative law. It will cover many legal problems encountered by the average person. It will include complete sections covering the legal aspects of contracts, business, personal rights, property and criminal procedure. Potential confrontations with the law, complex social relationships and patterns of human interaction will be studied in order to increase the student's knowledge of our American judicial system.
