From the Principal...
Dear Students and Parents:
As we educate students from the Manchester, Bedford and Hooksett communities, I am proud to have the privilege of serving as the principal of Manchester High School WEST. As a Community of Caring School, our focus is on instilling the values of caring, respect, responsibility, trust and family. By working together, we can create a school community, which will help us confront some of the most challenging issues of our time.
Our public schools represent our only hope for our future. They remain the only institutions, which welcome students from all walks of life and strive to help them become the type of citizens in whom we will trust with the future of our community and our nation. If we fail, our community and nation will fail. We at Manchester High School WEST will not let that happen.
While it may not be the easy, we will do it the "WEST way". We will hold our students to high standards of academic achievement and behavior, and we shall hold students accountable in the classroom and in school life beyond the classroom. We will do this with the active involvement of our dedicated and competent professionals, with the leadership of our students and the support of the parents. Together, we will be engaged in an unrelenting pursuit of excellence. Please join us on this exciting voyage.
I urge you to read the Student/Parent Handbook to become familiar with our expectations. Most of the answers to the questions you might have about the operation of our school can be found in the handbook. It is also very important for you to become familiar with the Board of School Committee's codes and policies, the rules and regulations for all student organizations, and the school calendar. These may be found in the handbook.
I am looking forward to the future, as Manchester High School WEST shall continue to lead the way.
