EXTRA HELP AND MAKE-UP:
Extra help and make up will be held in room 329 every Monday from 2:35 until 3:30 PM. Please schedule your work hours, doctor and dentist appointments and other activities with this in mind. If you are absent from class, you must see me the day you return to school to get missed assignments and to reschedule missed quizzes and tests. Failure to see me could result in a zero for missed work.

Excused Absences from Class (e.g. field trips, assemblies, group, peer outreach, etc):

If you know you will be missing class on the day of a quiz or test, you must take the quiz/test the day before the excused absence or the day you return. If the quiz/test is to be given the day after the excused absence, you must take it with the rest of the class. Homework due on the day of the excused absence must be turned in before your assigned period. You are responsible for the homework that is due the day after the excused absence.

HOMEWORK:

Homework will be assigned most nights. It is required that you do your assignments on time. Remember that hard work and practice are needed to succeed in mathematics. All homework should be done in your notebook and all problems attempted. You will be expected to keep all class notes and hand-outs neatly organized in your notebook.

Grades:

Your grade will be based on tests, homework and notebook. There will be approximately one test per week. All tests are cumulative and will be counted equally. The final average will not be rounded. For example - 89.8 is a B+ while 90.0 is an A. Semester exams will count 15% towards your semester grade.

Textbook:

Finite requires much practice and thinking. I highly recommend that you form study groups. You may work together in class, in the library, cafeteria, or at someoneÕs home.
