MANCHESTER HIGH SCHOOL WESTGEOMETRYGEOMETRY (level 3) Mrs. Dallaire 1999-2000 GRADES For your grade, each quiz counts once and each test counts twice. All homework points with all notebook points count as one quiz. If you fail a test or a quiz, you may come in on make-up day for extra help and a second chance on the grade. Your top possible grade on the re-take will be 65/D. Time limit on the re-take is two weeks from the date that the paper was returned to you. Every test and quiz might contain material from any previous quiz or test so get the extra help that you need right away! If you are absent, check with me promptly for your make-up work. If you have missed a test or a quiz, you must take it within two weeks of the original date. If you do it later, your top grade will be a 65/D. If you need an extension, do not delay in discussing it with me. CLASS GUIDELINES Textbook - bring it with you every day, keep a cover on it, do not write in it. Notebook - bring it every day. Keep your class notes, your homework with the current assignment sheet, and returned papers with the graph of your grades in it. A 3-ring binder is recommended. You may combine this notebook with that for another class. Plan your life so that you do not need to go to the bathroom during class, please! CALCULATORS Calculators will not be needed and their use will usually not be permitted for the first semester of this course. A calculator that has sine, cosine, tangent, and logarithms will be helpful for the second semester of this course. AFTER SCHOOL Make-up and extra help sessions are held in room 327 on Mondays (from right after school until 3:15 pm) and Thursdays (from 7:0 am until the first bell rings). "A great deal of one's life is governed by chance. The essential element under your control is, therefore, to be well prepared to take full advantage of good luck and to minimize the effects of disasters as either may confront you." F. N. Spiess |
