Standard Discipline Policy
Expectations of Kids' Cafe Participants
Appropriate Table Manners

General Rules

    You may be asked to leave if the following rules are broken:

  • Being disrespectful to volunteers.
  • Talking when hands go up.
  • Not listening to staff directions.
  • Punching or kicking.
  • Swearing
  • Throwing food or drink.
  • Uncooperative attitude.
  • Not staying in assigned activity room.
  • Playing in hallways.
  • Ripping table clothes or breaking plates or cups.
  • If you leave the building you are out for the night


Standard Discipline Policy

  • If asked to leave it's for all activities for that day.
  • Staff will determine the length of dismissal. It may range from one night to one month.
  • Arguing with staff or volunteers will extend the time until you can come back.
  • If you do not leave the property when dismissed you will be dismissed for 1 month.
  • If dismissed for 3 times in any 2 week period you may not return for 1 month.
  • Upon return from dismissal a staff member must have a conference with a parent.
  • If misbehavior continues you will be expelled from kids' cafe permanently.


Expectations of Participants

  • Hands go up, mouths go shut.
  • Everybody has to eat.
  • Use inside voices.
  • Display appropriate table manners.
  • Use language that is acceptable in church.
  • Keep hands and feet to yourself.
  • Walk in building.
  • Be cooperative and helpful.
  • Listen to adults.
  • Stay at table during meal.
  • Clean up after yourself.
  • Activities will not be run if there is insufficient volunteers to function safely.


Appropriate Table Manners

  • Listen to adults.
  • Be considerate to all around you.
  • Use silverware while eating. (no hands)
  • No banging of silverware or plates.
  • Do not rip tablecloth.
  • Do not break paper plates or cups.
  • Pass food around the table.
  • Take small portions first time food goes around table.
  • No throwing food or drink:
  • Use your napkins, not your clothes.
  • Only one person to leave the table at a time.
  • Make sure you have salad with your dressing!!!
