to provide Latin students links to clubs in their area and give them

News:
Get ready for the upcoming field trip to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston! Check the calendar for complete information!
A bake sale was held on 14 November 2000. Over $125 were generated. Thanks to all of our bakers, sellers, and customers! This money was handed over to New Horizons Soup Kitchen of Manchester on 22 November, 2000: the day before Thanksgiving.
Our Saturnalia event was a big hit. About 15 people attended, and had a good time I might add. Hopefully, next year we will have an even larger turnout!

About Us:
Our organization is a chapter of the National Junior Classical League. The Latin Club is made up of students that enjoy learning Latin and it's impact on our every day lives. The students included first-year through fourth-year Latin scholars. Each November, we organize a bake sale to benefit the Manchester Soup Kitchen, New Horizons. This year, we intend to organize a Certamen team to participate in local and (hopefully) national competition. We have attended local competitions as spectators in previous years, but now we will challenge the other schools! We invite all those MHSW students who are interested in Latin to join our organization.

Dues:
A mere $5 a year gets you into this fun-filled organization.
Only a portion of that actually remains within our club.
Meetings:
We have meetings when ever we feel like, which is only about
once a month. You can find this date on this page (if we aren't
too lazy) or you can ask Mrs. Dennis or one of the officers.
Other

The MHSW Latin Club needs support to keep running.
We do fund raisers as well as other events to help worthy organizations
and boost overall morale.
