Welcome to Manchester High School West. Hopefully you are planning on participating in the many activities that West has to offer. This notice will specifically refer to the fall athletic programs being offered at West.

We encourage all of you to get involved and give athletics a chance. It is a great way to meet new people and it helps with the transition to high school.

FALL SPORTS AND TRY-OUT INFORMATION:

BOYS SPORTS:

All athletes are required to have a PHYSICAL EXAMINATION before trying out for an athletic team. The exam must be WITHIN A CALENDAR YEAR of the date of the tryout and good for the entire season. Each athlete should submitproof of physical as well as permission forms the date of the tryout. Forms can be found in the main office at West High School when the office opens in early August.
Students will need to show a copy of their exam for each season that they are participating in. PLEASE KEEP A COPY AT HOME. The school nurse will also require proof of physical- so submit a copy to them as well.
Fall sports begin before the start of school. Participants must be at the tryout in order to be eligible for the team.
Teams practice and have contests DURING VACATION PERIODS. Athletes are required to be present for all practices and games. Before scheduling family vacations please check the athletic calendar at www.highschoolsports.net and remember that tournaments occur after the regular season.
